Thomas Jane's Role

Thomas Jane guest starring on the show was mine. Frankly I wasn't certain we could pull it off. He's very selective, I don't think he's ever done television except for an HBO film called "61" that Billy Crystal directed. He also did a very brief cameo for Friends and Arrested Development. I wasn't sure whether to put Patricia in the uncomfortable position of asking him. As she likes to joke, she used her feminine guiles and I'm thrilled with the results.

I have rather famously, and to not great effect, worked with married couples before. I directed a movie with Annette Bening and Warren Beatty called "Love Affair," which I think most critics felt wasn't as thrilling and romantic as they had a right to expect. That's why I was so delighted with what Thomas did. He's delightful in the episode. His chemistry with Allison was great and actually I was pleased with his chemistry with Jake.

Thank you for bringing back the ghosts! I missed them last season. It sends chills up my spine to see the ghosts and I hope you keep them in many of your story lines!

I have enjoyed Medium since its first episode. This episode was amazing and had me on the edge of my seat. The chemistry between all of the actors is wonderful. Thank you for a wonderful and entertaining show.

I really enjoy your program but find the drinking and profanity offensive.
I would like to see someone with guts enough to let their story line ride on its own merit and not feel they have to add these qualities to make it fly.

Wonderful show!!! I am so disappointed that I missed the first half. My bad. I must not have been listening to the ads closely enough. All season long at Monday 10:00 PM I've been sad that Medium wasn't there, and couldn't figure out where it went. I am so glad it's back! And was glad to hear that it is also going to be on at 8:00 PM Monday's on TBS.

I liked the fact that it wasn't too gory and the kids played a big role.

Tonight was well worth the wait. My son & I were worried that Medium was not going to be on this season. Keep up the great work for many seasons to come. This is the only regular show that we watch religiously.

I am a great fan of Medium, and am so glad it's back. I'm also a great fan of Fraiser, and would like to know what Executive Producer Kelsey Grammar's involvement consists of in Medium.

my question is where did the inspiration of this show come from? I am an avid watcher of this show and I know personally a few "mediums", although it is not exactly as the show portrays, it is amazingly similiar. In this day and age where more and more are believing in the "supernatural" it is refreshing to find a show to help connect those who would not normally be exposed to this type of phenomenum. Can you use any additional writers or experiences that you can use for the show?

The best part is she's an everyday mom desired by two hot guys. Just wish she were a bit more challenged by it, like there was something about him that Allison is missing from her life. Not enough to effect her marriage but just enough to feel the loss.

The two hour show went surprisingly fast! I did all my ironing. I figured out the art fogery stuff the first time they got to the girls house and I think the police would of figured it out quicker. Where do you get your research on dreams? Are they some of your own dreams, like have you felt the touch of someone dead in a dream????

Thank you for such an amazing show. You write really incredible story lines that keep me glued. If Patricia Arquette is reading these, please let me say that your hair is gorgeous! I saw where Jay Leno said it was "cute," but I think it's beautiful! Keep up the talented work!

This was another great episode. Thank-you. Please continue to keep it real. Similar shows (1-800-MISSING and Ghost Whisperer) went way out into left field with unrealistic plot lines and were ruined. Meduim is the only one hanging in there.

The network ruined your creation by cramming in dozens of greed-inspired commercials. They interrupted the show so often and so long that it seemed that they were deliberately trying to ruin it. Dumb!

I always watch the Medium, It's the best show about spirits on TV. I would like to know if the real Alison still tells you about these episodes. I still remember when the real Alison was interviewed on our local news program after an eposode aired.You should do this again.

I can't believe that this 2 hour premier was written by the pervious season's writers. I thought it was: silly (the scenes with Joe & Clay - Joe has more confidence in their relationship), Scanlon & Allison laughing in the car as heading to the scene of the car in water was just not her (horrified 1 moment & laughing the next?), the dinner time yelling in front of the kids referring to the murders is not the Joe & Allison I know. I found myself frowning,shaking my head & almost laughing. Whoever wrote it doesn't know the characters personalities. I was very disappointed.

I love 'Medium'! Thank you for another season!
I would like to see 'Allison' become stonger, more self-confident, if possible.

The show is a good premise but does anyone really believe Patricia Arquette is a good actress? I think she is boring and ineffective! Always popping up in bed and sooooo monotone.....could she put some feeling in her character and stop being so strange with the children. Does anyone ever sleep in that house?

The art scam plot was interesting as was the exboyfriend/real-life husband actor thing. And I appreciated that you took time to develop the detective and DA's characters in more depth. I like that the psychic gift is hereditary. Bridgett is such an adorable young actress...and the DuBois couple relationship is well-acted. I got into the show b/c I like Patricia Arquette; but think the whole cast is great.

I was waiting for this show to come back because I like how each episode is a complete story, as opposed to all of those shows that keep going week after week (so if you miss one you're lost). I'm not into any other shows...except for the Office. Glad to have Medium back--looking forward to more! Great job.

I know that Patricia A. says she does not believe in the role she plays, even though it is supposedly based on a real person.

I hear those asking where you get your material; telling wouldn't you say?

A few do admit.

I do and no longer hide this fact, but mine is no where near as fine-tuned or developed as the young woman's gift but, what I found interesting, amoung many, after admitting that I do (have this experience/gift), (confind to dreams pretty much) I asked a fairly sizeable audience at church who too all might have some kind of similar experiences.

About 40% raised their hands; I was surprised by the numbers, and their courage.

You might ask people to submit their stories if you need material -- It could all be more familiar that people want to admit.
