Hi. This is Glenn Gordon Caron and I’m the creator and executive producer of Medium. After tonight’s East Coast premiere of our special two hour episode “Four Dreams”, I’m going to be participating in a “live” blog---as opposed to a “dead” blog which is really more Allison’s thing. I’m very interested in your reactions and would be happy to answer any questions the episode might provoke. So please come back after the show is over, armed with your keyboard. I just saw yr dream sequence for Allison featuring a Southeast Asian woman who is supposed to be from Indonesia.
It's a little silly and sloppy on your part to have her speak in Tagalog, the main language of the Philippines.
Those are two very different countries. At least be accurate.

medium is a brilliant, intelligent show. thanks to you and the entire cast and crew for bringing it to us! the dream sequence of the boy in the minivan rollover was particularly well done in the season premiere ep tonite.

you are killing this 2 hour premier with an hour of commercials. big mistake.

Sorry, but the show just didn't have it's rhythm and was very disjointed. The actors were awkward and the story line was really forced. We got tired of watching and didn’t even finish the show. I'm not sure we'll continue watching.

I liked Patricia better with long hair.

I just wanted to thank you for staying with NBC and keeping the show alive. I use scenes from MOONLIGHTING to teach composition--- yes, composition, because of the clarity and character. Your voice is brilliant. And I never use more than legally acceptable. I just wanted to say thank you for giving us your voice. It always gives a payoff and remains character centered. THANK YOU!

Great new show but what happened last season with the last episode?

I love the show but this episode appeared too choppy and alittle long. I do like the way you integrated the little girl into this more with different view on the visions.

I am so VERY glad that Medium is back on, even if it is on a new night. I kept looking for it for two months on Monday nights and was dismayed because I thought they had taken it off.

I really enjoy this show. I was sooo happy to see it come back, I was worried. I am just now watching the last 10 minutes. I like when she talks with Ghosts.. let's see more of that!!!

Show is Great was very upset when we thought it was not coming back on. Lots of my family watch the show. Keep up the good work.

P.S. How about an episode where alison hunts for a killer that kills busybodies you know those neighbors that mind everyone elses business.

Way too many commercials made it very disjointed and the monkey cartoons were very violent. Usually enjoy the show every much. Saw the ending coming.

Why must you show them drinking beer every single night and with dinner also? It's so obvious. Not such great parental examples, are they?

I have missed this show so much. It is nice to have it back on tv. I missed last season because of work but this season it will not be missed. It is really good to see it on a Wednesday night as well, instead of a Monday, a sure sign that it is gaining in popularity.

Hi Glenn, Medium concept and story line is outstanding. However the ridiculous bickering, petty fights and squabbles are so annoying, I'm unlikely to watch another episode.

They do nothing to further the story. I find this "slice of life" to be anything but entertaining.

The show was great..felt like it explored a bit more of the relationship with Alison's husband. Often wonder what's happening between them.
Love that the kids are experiencing some of the phenomena..hope there's less fear and more acceptance for them all. It really is a part of their lives together.

I am very excited for this season. I was so glad when I saw the commercial saying the season begins tonight. If this is any indication of what the season is going to be like, I can't wait for the season to continue.

The premiere has been great, good work! I just wanted to comment on two things I love about this show. 1) The relationship between Allison and her husband: I love how they have such a balanced, loving, healthy relationship (rare on tv). And I also love Jake Weber and how his character isn't whipped like that guy on Ghost Whisperer. Jeez! 2) I love the sudden cuts to commercial. Usually there's some dramatic pause or a music-y flourish, but not on this show. It's just like, BAM! Commercial! I love it.

I have been a fan from the beginning and always look forwarded to new episodes. What I like the most is that you can get so confused in the first 45 minutes with what is happening with the characters, the dreams etc... and then Bang! everything fits together at the end just like a puzzle and it truly makes you say. Wow! That was cool!

Yes I was wondering do you believe in real life mediums? and another thing thank you for allowing lifetime run the reruns of medium i am usually at work or school so i catch up on the episodes i missed and also the one's i love i hope you have many more years of success and keep making those great shows and please tell patricia we love her.

Your story line continues to amaze us all. Have you considered doing a show on a child who is "sick" and Allison can help the child. Or she could see something bad to come and help prevent it.

The negitive comments here are bogus... great show, great creativity and realistic "husband-wife" relationship that many can identify with. Loved the Monkey's. We see the monkeys... does the child see these scenes? I hate that sort of intensity exposure to children, however, she is a great little actress.

This is one of my favorite show and I really enjoyed this premiere. It was really well done. I think it was very well done that you hadve mom and child bonding with the dreams though its sad the child has to go through that. But it shows the reality of it all. This is an enjoyable TV show. I am uncomfortable, however, with the children's involvement. I think the show would be improved by writing out any but basic family interaction with the kids.

I've enjoyed every minute of Medium's premiere tonight. You've been able to maintain wonderful characters that, going into the third season, could easily become as much caricature as the cartoons featured in the dream sequences. A real joy to watch.

hey man...love the show, loved tonight edpisode. watching the end right now, a tiny bit predictable but thats great drama...i dont mean to be forward, but had a great idea for the show. One season you introduced the brother, but never developed him...How about if allison and he had dreams of from people who were murdered in there particular area...im assuming he lived in another state. He's sober and starts following leads his guide is sending him, while allison is doing the same...they end up meeting in an area they both are investigating, uncovering the remians of a body...that leads them to a serial killer...that killed in both their states....if you use this i would need credit..thanks, Nicky Siano, the DJ

Where do you do you find your inspiration? The show is unique and seems to have an artistic imporvization to it. Patricia Arquette is a lovely actress and the original reason I started watching the show. Good show.

I didn't like Allison narrating throughout the episode. I loved the dreams. I love the way you guys show the intimacy of a married couple without being corny.

Excellent opener... your show always delivers new twists and spins on Allison's gift and of course you've been hinting at her children. I hope you never lose your knack for original ideas for the show. My wife and I love it so far. Just how closely does the show follow the real Allison? As a kid, I thought it would be neat to have her gift... the show has shown me it a real curse and a big responsibiblity. I think it's a great show, and a great premier. I love that it's not just focused on her psychic powers, but a lot about her marriage and role as a mother. Thanks for making it a real-life type relationship, and for keeping the show fun. My only comment would be that the disbelief the Detective & DA still have is a little old, since she's always right!

I'm an aspring screen writer, and I'm watching medium, just by coincidence, and I'm wondering how it is you go about pitching an idea like "medium" to a television network? are they sketchy about taking on sci-fi-esque shows?

Oh, and I love the way you never try to over explain her abilities, sometimes writers are set on defining these processes, but they usually end up conveluded and confusing and its better that you don't.

I want to say thank you. If it wasn't for your show I would have never felt normal. I knew immediately that you were consulting with a real medium. I get scared that the show won't be exciting enough for others because it's what really happens when you can see people or souls on the other side. All my life I've had to piece dreams together or talk to people that had passed because they knew I could see them. Now I try to figure out each episode & I usually do. Tonight was no exception, but what a pleasure to play along. I saw the towers come down just hours before it happened. I thought that was so unfair & it's haunted me. Thank you again for the show.

please continue the great work...use the daughters more in the helping to solve crimes...and bring back MOLLY RINGWALD again - she was terrific...

I just watched the premiere. This is a great show, the concept is awesome and I like the realness of the characters ouside of the main characters abilities. I too have dreams of things to come... and so now does my daughter so I identify with the show very much.... what I like about the show is that Allison is so real... she's down to earth and not some super type person.... wonderful humanity to the show....

The art dealer as mastermind was predictable. I think the Thomas Jane character offered possibilities for Allison that were undeveloped.

I have always enjoyed your shows, especially Moonlighting and now Medieum. You have a romantic soul and an offbeat sense of humor which I realy enjoy. Have you ever written anything for the Theater?

So, do some people get freaked out by the ideas presented in the program?
I'm talkin' about the afterlife, about purpose and limbo for example.
also, do some folk actually relate to the way "Alison" speaks to the dead?

So glad the show is back. I find it intelligent, interesting. Yes the multiple plots are a great idea. But don't push too hard. Lots of what works is in the performances, especially Patricia Arquette. One of the FEW interesting shows on TV.

Have waited all season for this to come back on.Thought this was a really good show.Glad you had more of the family involved with it.Keep up the great story lines

I am a huge fan and been watching it since it started. This was a GREAT way to start off the season! Two hours really helped develop the emotional level and relationship between Allison and her talents. I like the side story with Scanlon and D.A., keeps it real!! Please keep up the good work and don't fall into predictable plots, that's when it will get BORING!

it would be nice for the REAL ALISON TO MAKE AN APPEARANCE ON THE SHOW......

I love Medium...great 2 hour season premiere. I was so worried it would not be on. Glad it and Patricia is back!

I keep trying to like this show but I can't believe how bad an actress Patricia Arquette as Allison is! She has no personality and is so monotone! Every show she questions her eerie dreams like it is the first time it happened! I think by now she would know she is going to have dreams and visions and wouldn't make a why me out of it?

This lived up to my anticipation. It was brilliant. I have been waiting for this & so excited to have seen it finally. I have been a very loyal follower of the show since it began. I love it, & have gotten several people watching it. Good move to Wed. nights. THANK YOU!

SHE ALWAYS SEEMS SURPRISED TO LEARN SHE KNOWS SO MUCH ABOUT WHAT IS REALLY HAPPENING ON THE ETHRIC LEVEL. CAN YOU PLEASE ALLOW HER TO BE SMART, LESS DUBVIOUS, AWARE. I loved the episode. It was very good. Had me worried it wouldn't be on this season. Great start to the season. I think it'd be neat to do a show like that. Is it hard to come up with ideas? How long does it take to film an episode? Anyways, keep up the great work.. can't wait to see next weeks. That looks great!

I love this season premier. I love every ending of each episode, they are so creative and unique. I really like the relationship between Allison and Ariel, are we going to see more episodes where they will interact a little more? It is a really good example of mother and teenage daughter relationship.
