Guest Stars
We've got great guest stars coming on SVU. Next week Gregory Harrison, Robert Vaughan, Deborah Raffin. Episode three: Academy Award Nominee Leslie Caron gives an amazing performance along with Robin Weigert (from Deadwood) and Charles Shaugnassy (from the Nanny). Episode 4 is Jerry Lewis.
What do you all think about Mariska winning the Emmy? I was in the audience and screamed, "YES!" My 16 year old son was sitting next to me and he said, "Relax, Dad. Chill." (That was while I was standing up and down ranting.) We were so grateful that Mariska was honored and we were thrilled that Chris received his first nomination. Way to go Chris...

Is Alex going to guest star on SVU since she is out of Witness Protection?
Yes! I was screaming when she won her Emmy! But i was really sad Chris didin't win. I'm a big fan of the show and can't wait to see what is going to happen this season between Elliot and Olivia!

I just have to say that guest star Marcia Gay was awesome on the premiere Tuesday. I have seen her in many roles before and she really shined on tonight's show. I hope to see her come back soon. It's finally nice to see a show that actually shows a good side of the FBI one that cares and will help the local police. I am very excited to learn more about Olivia and Stabler. It has been well over due. We need to know more about them. Has there ever been talk about having Olivia and Stabler hook up? I am sure there has but I know it would change their partnership. Anyway, I just want to send you my opinion of the show. Keep up the good work!!!!
Mr Baer, I know you're the executive producer and it's your job to cheer for Mariska Hargitay, but can you honestly tell us that she deserved the Emmy? The only thing Ms Hargitay is good at is making Benson a whiny crying princess. IMO this was the least deserved win in the history of the Emmys.
As to guest stars, will we see any Judith Light this season? I certainly know that I, among others, enjoyed her appearances last season.
I think she deserves any award you can give her. I saw in interview with her once, and she is a light-hearted fun person, very quick wit. To play someone with such a dark past so well indicates her depth as an actress. Yeah Mariska!
I was watching and absolutely went nuts when she won. :) It was well deserved. She does an amazing job with her character...she taps into the emotions so well. I loved the after emmy show when she was interviewed by the one girl from E! She was talking about her "Ice" and how Ice would love it. And then she couldn't remember what her son's name meant...it was really funny! She definitely deserved it. I loved what she had to say about her Dad...and I was sorry to hear of his passing. Any word on how she is taking it?
Mariska is without question the best actress currently on television.

Chris rolling across the stage in a machine?!!! I missed it!!!! And believe me, when she won the Emmy, my whole apartment building knew she won!!!

I think it was absolutly great that she won. i cant blame you for ranting and raaving like you did, i did the same thing here at my house too. It was about time that the show and the actors got their much needed recognition, i'm super happy for Chris's nomination also. I really believe that next year will bring more awards to the show, i'm sure of it!

Mariska is WHY I watch SVU>
Well, that's exactly what separates this show from the others. WHY we watch it. Because the acting is so great. And the acting is so great because the characters are so great. And the characters are so great because you actually let them have a life and personal side. I watch shows for characters not story.
Mariska is an amazing actress and I am so glad she got recognized for it. She inspires so many people in everything she does. Congrats to Chris as well, he is wonderful. They work so well toegther and I cant wait to see what happens this season. They both deserve the recognition!

Chris is amazing and it was so wonderful he was recognized. I wont be suprised if he is nominated again next year because he is that awesome. I am so happy Mariska won! My friend and I caused quite a commotion when she did, because we were having and SVU emmy party.

I think it was so deserved! She just seems like such an awesome person both as an actress and in life. I would love to meet her someday.

I was ecstatic to see Mariska win. After learning about her dad's death on Thursday, I was even happier to know he was able to share it with her...She is such an amazing actress and an inspiration. Please let her know our thoughts and prayers are with her and her family. Is there a place we can send our condolences?
i was thrilled too. i think i would have been screaming possibly so loud you could here me if i wasnt living in a dorm on campus. but i can imagine everyone acting the way you did. i love the beginning part of her speech with her mentioninng ehr son and the month ending that way it was just so cute
why did you send mariska "undercover"??? any episode without her is lacking in "something special." tonight at my svu premiere party people left very angry with the outlook of her not being in the next couple episodes.

I think it's kind of degrading that they put "Cops" on right after Law And Order.
