Vivesectors would not exist if everyone was kind and compassionate. Still, i do believe that most people would care if they saw a very sick or injured animal. They would care if the animal got in that condition for no reason except to create a new shampoo. I have shown people on the street videos of common every day occurences of animals being horrifically mistreated, and believe me, people are upset.
That is why you are you. You think the world is good and people are compassionate? Well let me tell you something. People aren't tactful or polite because it's nice. They do it because they know THEY will make mistakes and they know their actions have consequences. People only do the right thing for themselves, not because it will benefit anyone else in the slightest. You're naive and not worth talking to and I'm tired and going to bed.
i think people do care about others. I believe people are not really aware that animals suffer the way they do, not to cure cancer, but to create a new mascara. I think people are essentially compassionate and would not want that if they understood what really goes on. Choosing cruelty free products is just one way of being compassionate.
i don't buy my cruelty free products at health food stores, as I agree, they can be pretty pricey there. But some store brands like trader joes or Pathmark don't test on animals. And I don't think Revlon is an expensive brand. There are more...and they are not all expensive.
I want people to know that they don't have to support companies that test on animals. You can buy shampoo, make-up, cleaning products, etc, that are cruelty free. why not choose the product that has done no harm?

lots of companies, like REVLON, AVON, CITRE ShIne, to name a few...do not test on animals. It is perfectly possible to create shampoo without sticking it in a bunny's eye. So why do it? why not choose the humane shampoo?

That scene about Olivia's father was from season 2 when her mom died. She left Olivia a note and then Olivia went to meet the guy.
Having watched Jerry Lewis since I was like 5, I am looking forward to this. The man is like no other. This should be good for the show and for the fans and new fans. I am excited.

In defense of molecular biologist and those who work with GMO's, we are peaceful people who want to make the world a better place by helping countries engineer food that can grow in their climate and geographic conditions. We do not all test on animals and subject them to torture.
Tonight's episode was great, and I really enjoy watching ADA Novak's character, but I have to ask: Will Alex Cabot ever make another appearance? If so, will it fill in all the gaps that Conviction left behind? I think it would make it more interesting to see two ADAs on SVU, like on the original L&O...

I would love to see Elliott work things out with Kathy and his kids. I agree that there is sexual tension between Stabler and Olivia, but that has only started to happen in a big way since he split with Kathy, before that he never looked at Olivia that way. I think Elliott is confused and he has invested his emotions in Olivia at the moment because he has been rejected by his wife, but underneath it all Kathy is really the one he loves. I am with the person who wrote that we can get the sexual drama on some other show. As much as I would love to see a kiss between Elliott and Benson, I don’t think that is the direction the show should go, SUV is too classy and smart to succumb to that type of entertainment.
The episode with Anthony Anderson definitely held my attention. It was a different role than the usual bad boy. Hopefully he can make a return appearance and work jointly with Stabler and Benson.
I understand creative license but please be fair. Showing animal activists as militant radicals is placing a negative characterization on less than one percent of a very peace-loving population. People need to understand that animal activists are simply people who speak out against cruelty to animals. They are not blowing up buildings. They are completely against violence. They are standing up for the voiceless
Are we going to see any follow-up to the episode "Fault"? Or at least deal with the personal implications? And what kind of cases are we going to be dealing with in the upcoming season? Anything out of the ordinary?

This really should have been a forum, not a blog – would’ve been more interactive.
Anyway, not that there’s much you can do about this now, but if it were me, I would be careful about Elliot’s “engaging” with other women beyond his estranged wife and Olivia. What’s so appealing to viewers about Elliot is that he’s such a stand-up guy. If you have him gettin’ it on with his new partner (whom viewers are going to resent to begin with because she’s NOT Olivia), you could lose some people.
But let me not get ahead of myself…we shall see how the season goes.

It's really good to hear that the actors/actresses are involved with stuff like that outside of the show and that they do get along so well. Props to them!
The entire ensemble is fantastic. You can tell they get along in real life. It definitely shows on-screen.
