We're finally on our way to New York but I leave Las Vegas with a couple of
questions. Recently I talked to a Peter Petrelli on the phone.

1) Who is Peter Petrelli?
He said he met a future me who told him to deliver a message to me. I guess
he is important to my mission otherwise future me wouldn't have come talk to
him. I also met flying man Nathan who is also a Petrelli. Are they related
or is it just common last name?

2) Who is the Cheerleader?
Future me said, or maybe it's will say to be exact. I don't know what the
correct tense would be \(- -)/ Anyways, he said, or I said, (?.?) ...,
save the cheerleader, save the world. So saving this cheerleader would save
Mr. Isack? Even though he/I will/was very cryptic he/I should've not
interacted with someone from my current timeline. I'm disappointed. He/I
should've known/should know the negative ramifications of time travel.

3) What kind of sword?

I have a sword in the future! (^o^)==[=============>
Is it a broadsword? A machete? A katana? If I know myself, I'd choose a
katana. I wonder if it's magical. +4 to dexterity? I guess my character
breakdown would be:

STR: 14 (I'm going to have to work out more to get this)
DEX: 18 (with +4 modifier) (ditto as above)
CON: 12
INT: 18 (I can use magic)
WIS: 17 (I survive till the future so I have to be wise (^o^))
CHA: 15
Race: Human (Japanese)
Alignment: Lawful Good
AC: -1 (I would think that I would be wearing lighter gear, but get AC
dexterity bonus)
Class: Kensei

Since it's not a video game, I'm going old school abilities (^o^) I hope
the translator translates it accurately.

The biggest question I have is am I a real hero? I cowardly hid while
someone was being killed. My fingers was on L1 + R1 the whole time. I know
a do-over is possible, but I also know it's risky to mess with the
time-space continuum. What makes a hero? I got these powers for a reason.
It's destiny.

I question my heroism right now, and I hope I find my answer soon. Off to
New York!

Rooth: Hiro is probably using the original and far superior Kensai rules in the 2nd Edition Oriental Adventures book, which would also explain why he's got such a good AC. (start at 10, subtract Dex bonus, subtract actual armor value which is probably leather or studded leather if any. I think the Kensei get their Wis as an additional AC boost, but I haven't got the book here at work)

I was just pondering some things. If you are Chrono searching for Marle and Lucca, perhaps Ando's internet stripper is Ayla? She has powers, though she is much more combat ready than Marle or Lucca. And still, if you are Chrono, you have to remember that Chrono gets put out of commission for a short time and must be brought back with the Egg of Time. Be careful Hiro, you don't want to be out of the game so soon. If future Hiro can find Peter easily, then present Hiro should start practicing that. Increase your Teleport spell. Then you could just teleport the party to New York. \^o^/

Nevermind, remembered that L1+R1 is the "flee" command in the FF series.

Is L1+R1 specifically a FF reference in this case (not as familiar with VII as I am with later ones and earlier ones)? I mean L1+R1 presses your character's face to the vent when hiding in a locker in "Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty" as well as more or less doing the same in MGS3.

I'm all with Ekia. Yeah, there should be someone with telekenisis there. I don't know why but people seem to neglect that power when it comes to superheroes. I haven't seen it used with a hero in a while now. Or am I missing something??

And I can't believe I missed episode 7. I never miss an episode. Ever. First time, and always I get home early on Mondays just so I won't miss an episode. I can't believe it!!

As for the boy I am thinkng he may have telemachanics. I don't know if any of you guys play the RP table top system Rifts, but Heroes isn't like a video game to me it's more like playing a rifts adventure.

I think Hiro may not have to change his watch so much cause he has a hidden power called, "sense time" Yet another rifts power!! So, he knows once he stops and restarts time the actuall time. =p.

I think the only thing you guys are missing is a Hero with Telekenisis. You guys are going to need someone that can through up a sheild of shorts, and move stuff around with just the power of their mind!

HIRO! Just one question- Isn't it a pain to have to keep fixing your watch? It seems that since your watch is so close to you that when you stop time your watch keeps going... so every time you stop time (you mentioned it was a short amount of time but I guess it would add up) wouldn't you have to reset it? Or did you get one of those new watches that corrects itself like an atomic clock?

I was disappointed with this past episode. I figured the Kid was either super intelligent or could repair damaged electronics. I'm sure there are new heroes. But now bring on some mission or a Hall of Justice. I don't like Peter's brother, I get it he only cares about the election. I just want to crack him across the face. Hiro is the best and this series is like lost but with super Hereos. Keep up the good work but come one.....Everyone form into a team already.

Just a thought, but I have given serious attention to future you traveling backward in time to warn Peter to save the cheerleader. Suppose that future Hiro's reason for this trip was a do-over? In ohter words, the explosion occured and New York was laid waste. Future Hiro, out of options, might just return to the past and warn a key player about a crucial event that must be fulfilled for everything to right itself. Food for thought, I think.

THATS AWESOME HERO, I got your Dungeons and Dragons reference. I to have played a Kensei, and being a dungeons and dragons fan, I suggest you take Power Finesse feat if your going use a katana with that Dex. ^_^ Just a 3.5 update for ya. Second, I think you could also find Improved weapon finesse, so you can get your Dexterity in to your damage rather then your strength mod. ^_~ But I think you have a +6 level adjustment for being able to stop time. But I guess if you're using BESM D20 rules you just spent a lot of character points to get that cool ability. Have you tested yourself to see how long you can stop time for? Oh and one more question if I may, when you stop time completely, does it stop the whole world, or just what is around you? Anyways keep up the good fight Hiro. Oh and just one more, I think it would be funny if you said "Oro" once. ^_^

Have there been those among us who have revealed to the world their powers, and not have been proven a fake. If any of you watch Criss Angel, you may have seen some show where he debunks psychic surgery, but do the people believe they are healed, and in that belief heal themselves from various sicknesses? Does the power of one's faith have the ability to change your future? And what about the faith healer?

Once there was a child, who believed very heavily in God, and followed the ways of the church and began to question verses about healing; and miracles; and as any child asked can this happen this today? And some in the various churches believed that miracles were possible, and yet others believed that was the only true sign that you were saved. And yet, one day when a certain child prayed for another child with asthma and that person miraculously no longer need the medications. That same child became an antihero and a hero at the same time. That power that healed the sick, became the hysteria of the masses. And led to the child being tormented by peers; and led to question whether the power was from the divine or from the evil side of life. And those same people who praised the boy, tormented the boy with ideas that the power could not have been from the good, that it must've been some kind of witchcraft. Were his speeches the word of faith or the mark of the devil? Would that boy, if let to do so believe more and be able to accomplish more if his peers believed he was good? Isn't there a phrase somewhere about the end times being like the time of moses, which could be construed as a time similar to this? Something about, faith as small as a mustard seed? Perhaps these were all children's fairy tales, or perhaps not.

I do that sometimeed too; thinking about life like a video game, its not a bad thing (I hope :P). It's like when you're surrounded by a swarm of mosquitos: Randon battle! Or sometimes if you get lost somewhere you could really use a map screne. And not just a normal map, but one that has a little flashing arrow that shows where you are on the map :P ...Also after playing a Mega Man Legends game (old PS1 game) I really felt like kicking a pop machine ^_^;;

Let me repeat and paraphrase the sentiments of the many posters before me by saying that I think you're doing fine.

You're a true hero precisely because you are uncertain of your own heroism.

I think you should do your best to remain vigiliant and cautious though--I have a feeling the Hiro-from-the-future is from a specific [i]version[/i] of the future where you unfortunately [i]failed[/i] in your quest. IMHO, that future version of yourself came back to warn your present self (via Peter) that you (or someone) *must* SAVE THE CHEERLEADER. Or else, some how, through some chain of events, New York or possibly all of civilization will be decimated. No pressure.

But, seriously, Hiro, I have faith that you'll pull through somehow in the end. Just maintain that positive attitude--I think you're outlook on life is more important than most would give it credit for.
