That’s what speederbikedad did with The Monster Under the Bed. He got his kids to help him out with this spooooky clip about a monster living…ok, you guess it…under the bed. It’s simple, clever and best of all - the kids were totally into it.

Oh my god! He’s bleeding out of his foot! Maybe it’s because he rode that mudboard backwards or maybe it’s because these two guys are just so damn hardcore…either way, MudBoard America is insane! Totally insane!

Ok, so you’re going to have to watch for yourself, but basically it’s like snowboarding through a pasture. I know what you’re thinking…seriously? Snowboarding? In a pasture? Yeah…you heard me. These guys are snowboarding through the muck and mush and grass of an ordinary pasture – and having what appears to be an awesome time doing it.

This is exactly the kind of off-the-wall stuff we’re looking for over here at IYSTV, so it’s time to start thinking creatively. We want you to really wow us. Dance Robot, Dance!

Ok...so I dunno if I (or anyone else, for that matter) could really make doing the robot look cool at some hot dance club, but Logan somehow managed to make these robots look pretty damn sweet doing The Dance. It’s not every day you see an army of animated robot dudes out in a grassy field on a nice, sunny day swinging swords around all crazy and totally getting down, so this definitely caught my eye and I wanted to share it with you guys.

The best part about it, if you ask me (which you didn’t, but bear with me here) is the fact that it’s animated! Why aren’t more of you guys sending in animations? Come on...we here at IYS love this stuff! I mean, it’s especially great for you guys out there who are well aware of your creative genius but who might be just a little camera shy. Perfect...just animate something! Why didn’t you think of this sooner?!

Anyway...check it out and then see if you could do any better...it’s challenge 14 and while the voting for the $1000 prize is closed, you can still upload video and be entered to win the $100,000 grand prize!

Starting Over

I totally agree with John Doe from the comments that jessc on does an amazing job with her submission "Starting Over" in challenge 20 in telling a story and painting a true picture of what exactly this movie is about. It’s not just a bunch of clips thrown together, she actually manages to show you the total package! In less than 2 minutes, she let me know that there’d be drama, suspense, and some romance...and while it’s a little light on the giant explosions, gun fights and car chases, I guess it’s a movie I’d consider checking out.

Anyway, this is one of the newer challenges so not only could you still enter to win the $1000 prize, just like always your entry will be automatically entered to win the big money grand prize! Now you know the routine...get out there and Just Shoot It!

Shake It Like A...

As if it’s not frustrating enough waiting for the results of a Polaroid picture, ThesePeopleComedy take that frustration to a whole new level with Polaroid! When these guys find a camera that takes photos from the future, they each jump at the chance to see if fame, fortune or just some hot chicks are in store for them. The first guy manages to score all three (sweet!), but what about the rest? Could they possibly be so lucky?! You’re just gonna have to watch the video to find out...

There’s clearly a “shake it like a Polaroid picture” joke in here somewhere, so while I try to figure out what exactly that is, why don’t you go share the love with these guys after you check out their clip. And while you’re there, do you think maybe you could find a challenge to enter? You’ve been sitting on your butt long enough - it’s time to take things into your own hands!

Subway Steps It Up A Notch

Jamessmurray’s entry "Subway" is not your standard IYS entry and it really raises the bar for the rest of you out there. It’s full of drama, fear and suspense...a perfect entry for the Halloween season! And for a 6 minute movie, there are tons of plot twists and turns that totally caught me off guard. But no, I’m not going to give you any spoilers here – go watch the movie and see for yourself!

When it’s over, don’t forget to tell Jamessmurray just exactly what you thought about his submission. June and Reda loved it, John thought it could’ve been a little shorter and Pete just wasn’t into it at all. So don’t just sit there staring at the screen...add a comment already!

I don’t know what it is about these PSAs, but I just can’t get enough of them? My latest fave is from Emphatic Yes and is called “Laziness” and claims to be paid for by the National Anti-Procrastination Society aka NAPS. I know from the comments that Steve thinks they should lose the toilet shot, but come on...that’s the best part! So funny!

Anyway, October is coming to a close and there’s just a little bit of time left to enter a few of our challenges...here’s a quick rundown of the deadlines:

Ok, so the guys in The Telethon know how to enter a challenge. They entered this video in Challenge 6 - create your own PSA. Not only is there a very important message for everyone who's watching, but there's some very serious comedy going on at the same time.

Apparently papadizi thinks IYS is the perfect place to communicate with famous directors, because he made this hilarious video for Spielberg. Papadizi also apparently thinks he's all that. Decide for yourself...I personally think he's hilarious, but where did he find that accent?? And by the way...the little outdoorsy strip tease? Total TMI!!
