After writing about some gloom and doom yesterday, I do have the sense that Team USA is going to make Greece pay for the can of whoop-you-know-what they laid on us at the FIBA Championship in 2006.

The U.S. team should come out with fire in their eyes today and a sense of urgency, as Greece may be the toughest matchup they have in the entire Olympics (although Spain has been very tough thus far). Greece will be throwing around some swarming defense and make things tough on LeBron and Co., but it sounds like Coach K's boys are not going to let anything the Greek team does stop them from playing their game. Hopefully, they have a choice in the matter.

If the revenge factor weren't in play here, Greece would probably have a better chance of winning today's qualifying game. But don't be surprised if these teams meet again in the medal round. Enjoy the game today at 8 A.M. eastern time.
