    Rosie Returning To 'Nip/Tuck'

  • Breaking news from the set of "Nip/Tuck." I'm first on the set this morning where I've learned that Rosie O"Donnell is definetly returning to "Nip/Tuck" for several episodes as lottery winner Dawn Budge.

    O'Donnell will play the love interest to guest star Oliver Platt. Platt plays the Executive Producer of a tv show in which the docs of McNamara/Troy become creative consultants. Platt's character is loosely based on "Nip/Tuck" creator Ryan Murphy.

    An on set source tells me Rosie will come to Dr. McNamara and Dr. Troy for a procedure where she will end up having to have her mouth sewn shut! She's forced to communicates with them through a dry erase board. She'll appear in episode four, which will begin filming in mid to late July. They want her back for more episodes after this but they have not been written yet and need to check Rosie's schedule.

    There had been talk of O'Donnell getting her own spinoff series which I can confirm is definitely not happening.


    When I asked Julian McMahon who plays Dr. Troy if he and Rosie planned to mix it up again (you'll recall their jaw-dropping sex scene last season) he told me if Dr. Troy needs the money its a definite possibility.

    Well, I can tell you both Dr. Troy and Dr. McNamara will be in need of a major cash infusion. After moving their plastic surgery practice from Miami to LA the hot docs have dropped millions of dollar on a brand new practice. It's big. It's modern and its bleeding them dry. As season five begins to unfold their brand new practice is in dire shape as they have no clients and they begin to realize just how competitive the plastic surgery industry is in Hollywood.

    I'll be on vacation until July 9th. Lots more from "Nip/Tuck" when I return.

Please tell the Nip/Tuck directors they can do better than Rosie - she will drag the show down with her obnoxious crap! Her antidepressants are working overtime - she's lost control!
Nip/Tuck doesn't need Rosie - Recast the part or better yet kill the character off in a botched surgery!

I agree with the general consensus; Nip and Tuck does not need Rosie; after such a long wait for the show to return, we don't need to be punished with her presence....the death by botched surgery sounds like a fitting ending for her......
