    John Tesh

  • Here it is Saturday morning at 9am and I have just returned from my favorite breakfast spot on Beverly Glen Blvd., which is clearly a favorite of the great John Tesh.  Yes, The Tesh was there before me and he could not be a nicer guy. Truth be told, I have seen him once before outside the neighboring Starbuck's, but in a ball cap and shades, he did not notice me.  As I was exiting with my wife and daughters, our eyes met, this time definitively, and there were sparks.

He was sitting in a booth with HIS daughter spending some Q.T.  Two guys, both with daughters, both legends (joking here) in celebrity news, both musically gifted (joking again...I can't play hot cross buns)... But I must say, there are some people whose radiant warmth disarms you, welcomes you, and leaves you feeling better.  He's one of those guys.

ET was good when he was at the helm.  If they got him back, I'd quit in fear.

  • There's no question that in this job, I get to meet some interesting people, but they're not always the ones you'd assume. James Brolin came onto our stage. First, he's a great looking older gentleman...the silver do reminiscent of Blake Carrington in the "Dynasty" days.

A man can only hope to have a 'do like that. His self deprecation is what entertained us all. He quickly responded to "who wears the pants, you are Barbra?" with a quick, "Oh, she does". That gave us laughs. And just like his rugged looks would suggest, he is the new spokesperson for a treasure hunting outfit, that with the use of the newest and most innovative sonar, aims to track down all of the sunken treasure of the last half millennium. How cool.

    Teri Talks

  • I emailed Teri Hatcher as soon as I could untie the knot in my stomach after reading the Vanity Fair article yesterday, where she detailed her recollection of some events of her childhood.

I felt nauseated, with hints of paranoia and anxiety rushing through my system, as I read about Teri's claims of being forced to touch and be touched by her sadistic uncle.  How do these people go undetected?  How do their spouses not know that there is something so deeply wrong with the person with whom they share a life!  I hate that sick and twisted uncle...I have a 5-year-old daughter and if someone did anything like that to her, I fear I might cross a line I cannot cross back.

    Dana Reeve

  • The truth is I never thought this would happen. Dana Reeve was too strong and had been through too much. She lost her husband, then lost her mom.  Then she got lung cancer...didn't even smoke.  I thought "God is setting her up for a great triumph after all she's been through!!" Not quite. My sadness today is not for Dana...she is in a better place, I believe, reunited with the man she loves...and he is free to love her back without restrictions.  It's Will.

    Oscar Buzz

  • Recovering from my unfortunate errors at the end of the Oscar pre-show (lost audio at 8, set shots I hoped for disappeared...wah wah wah, I'll shut up, it happens) and sitting in the house.  A funny moment in between commercials was Jon stewart, (with 5 seconds 'til LIVE) he faintly lets out the F word, just to get away with it...big laugh. Then, about 2 and a half hours into the show, he sighs before going back on, "half way through folks".

Jon's great...holding a show filled with dull, but necessary, elements together.

Best dressed of the night, my wife Syd.  My apologies to the famous women.

About to sneak out and POW, a surprise...much needed.  "Crash" has done it and the place is alive!
