Rachel and Jane

The character played by Jane Krakowski in the pilot WAS originally played by Rachel Dratch, but I wanted Rachel to be able to do big characters, because she's so awesome at it. And once we realized we weren't gonna show the Girly Show sketches on-air it was a waste of time to have her where she was. Jane's great. Rachel's great. I think it's working out great for the show. What do you guys think?

I hope Rachel will have more to do on the show, and some real memorable characters- and then eventually her OWN show! :)

I really look forward to seeing more of Rachel Dratch. I love Jane as well. I think it will work much better having Rachel play different characters. It seems like it could be a sort of running gag within the show.

Rachel has way more talent than cat lady. Tracy's character sucked the BIG ONE. Baldwin is always good, and Tina I am sure you can do better than this . I hope the next show is better or you will lose all the viewers by the third show.

Judging from tonight it seems like it was a sound decision. I hope Rachel doesnt get lost though.

I think it wasn't your decision to give her a smaller role.

I also think that Rachel could have done just as well playing Jenna DeCarlo.

And lastly, I definitely think that you are more knowledgable than i am about this sort of thing!

I love Rachel. You made the right decision. She is an amazing character actor. I want to see more of her.

Jane is not all that funny, but I'm sure she'll get better.

So is Rachel going to be playing the cat woman in every episode? Or will she have a bunch of other random jobs? "Hey, wait, why is the cat woman suddenly the fruit lady???" xD

Yeah, I think Rachel was so ridiculously great as the cat trainer. This show is fantastic, and I really love your understated approach to your character, and I love Tracy Morgan. I'm glad Rachel'll be able to do multiple characters (right - she won't always be a cat trainer, I'm guessing?) - will you be in many scenes together? You did a stage show together, right?

Rachel with the cats was awesome! Glad to hear that she'll be on more.

The last run of SNL cast members was the best its been in years. I think it only helps if you have as many of them one the show as possible.Parnell,Fallon,etc.. Let them play themselves staring on your made up show!

You are trying to create a seemingly-real fake show :o) If rachel had been the lead, it may have seemed a bit forced. The less obvious comedy i the placement of actors, to me, is just as important as the lines. Well done.

I love rachel i just hope she is in the show more often. Jane was good crazy/desperate but i think thats what she was aiming for. I would love to see more of you and rachel together you guys have great chemistry.

I loved where Rachel and Jane were tonight. I think whatever you decided will work. Just make sure you use Rachel, she cracks me up as soon as she appears because I know whatever she does is going to have big laughs.

I thought they both did a great job. When I saw Rachel as the cat wrangler I was worried that that was going to be her only part on the show. It's good to hear that we'll be seeing more of her. Will you post finished Girlie Show sketches on the web?

Jane is perfect, that whole sister peed in my eye line was good. rachel couldnt pull off the flirting w/alec like jane.

Jane can definitely play larger than life loving herself, so that's good. I can't tell you about her character acting, but Rachel is used to that, so smart move, in my opinion.

We haven't seen enough of Rachel to know for sure yet if her part is nearly as big as she deserves. My feelings, though, are that Rachel was unfairly shoved aside in favor of someone who might be able to better draw a male audience.

Tina, is there anyway that I could interview you at another time on the internet or in some way for a humorous documentary I am creating on sporks(the eating utensil), I have interviewed the likes of Bob Marley(comedian) and Stephen Marley already. I enjoyed the original joke with Rachel about the diarreah medicine, but I guess hemoroid cream works just as well.

It's hard to tell at this point, neither got a whole lot of airtime. I'd have to say that it works just because they're both so versatile. Only time can tell.

Rachel and Jane are both fantastic. I love Rachel's fearless attitude...how she's not afraid to be unattractive for the sake of comedy. That makes her more beautiful than being dolled up all the time.

I miss Rachel on SNL, but I think she will shine in this new show. It is great! Very happy I have something to watch on Wednesdays (well, till American Idol...TIVO lol)

I think that is a great choice. I would like to see more of Ratchel later hopefully but Jane is a great choice for that role.
