Live blog tonight!

Hello future "Twenty Good Years" fans! This is Marsh McCall, co-creator and executive producer of the best comedy starring two sixty-year-old men to be found anywhere on the NBC schedule. I'm anxious to answer your questions and hear your thoughts. Actually, I'm just anxious in general. I get it from my mother's side of the family. It's been an honor to share a sound stage with the likes of John Lithgow and Jeffrey Tambor, and I'm really proud of this show. I think it taps into questions we all ask, regardless of age, like: Are we really getting the most out of life? Have we realized the dreams we had when we were younger? Or are we somehow "settling?" Of course, the main goal of "Twenty Good Years" is to make you laugh, but if we can accomplish that while exploring these themes, so much the better. Anyway, thanks for your interest, and I hope you like our show as much as we do.

Laugh tracks? C'mon - The audience is not brain dead to NOT know what is funny - Have more faith in your stars to get real laughs! Sorry, it was really irritating! Like watching a 1971 sitcom

I'm 16 and watched because I heard Judith Light was in the pilot. I loved watching Who's The Boss on Nick at Night last year.

Anyway, your show was funny.

I'd like to see Judith Light's character in more shows. She should hook-up with John instead of Jeffrey.

This show would be a better lead-in to 30 ROCK--it's much funnier. I think it will suffer from having to follow 30 ROCK. Put it on first and both shows will benefit.

Love the show...I need ideas about the age bracket and living...please don't be too daring in your plots and give us (50+) something to look forward to. Laughed out loud...hard.

haven't followed a sitcom since seinfeld and frasier. Watched this because I wanted to see Lithgow and Tambor together. Lived up to expectations, and will only get better when we get to know characters better. Good Luck and long life to 20 good years.

Lithgow's character is a bit over the top.

Love the Jeffrey/Gina dynamic. Judith Light's performance was perfectly understated as was Jeffrey's.

I liked the show - John Lithgow and Jeffrey Tambor are great, but please, please, please get rid of the laugh track. It's terrible. I can't watch a show with such a fake sound.

I absolutely have to congratulate you Marsh on the show. It's like a breath of fresh air. It's different, hiliarious, and down to earth and that's what people love. If I could change anything about the show, it would be even more funny moments. Love it! Love it!

I am peer of your characters & have some great real life material, are you accepting any script submissions. Regarding the laugh track , noy sure it needs to go, although annoying in tonight's episode, it depends on what atmospheric perception you are attempting to create. GREAT SHOW!

I loved the show!!!! As a 61 year old white man I finally found a show that reflects my life. Last year for my 60 birthday I rafted the grand canyon for a week. It would be a great espisode for the show.

I liked the show, but I was puzzled by the inconsistencies. If the judge's wife died 20 years ago, then why is the son 19? And if the two men, who are 60, grew up one block apart, then why have they only known each other for 40 years?

The New Odd Couple. Good chemistry, but get rid of Lithgow in a speedo and the laugh track.

I would like to say that it is absolutely delightful to sit in my living room and laugh at such joyful comedy. I was wondering when someone would script a show that doesn't deal with reality (because some of lost the ability to create)or doesn't deal with the horrors of the tragedy of what is going on in the world today, which I do not consider entertainment. The premise is wonderful. There is great potential with making the most of every day. Jeffrey and John are outstanding!

I CANNOT STAND THE STUDIO LAUGHTER! Once I realized what it was, I was so disappointed. If we were watching the Carol Burnett variety show, I would expect laughter.

I am probably one of the few that like the balance of Tambor & Lithgow, and this makes for a good 30-minute dose of feel-good comedy for NBC in a similar vein to "My Name is Earl". But look at Earl, or the Office, or even the new 30 Rock. None of them have an audience; they let the viewers pick when to laugh rather than telling them when.

I really enjoyed the show and I love the concept of two middle aged guys trying to get the most out of life. I don't think the show needs the laugh track though. It cheapens the humor. The show would be better without it.

Judith Light is a true genius of comedy. I hope she will be staying in the show. She has a way of developing a character that always leads to success! She looks amazing, too!

It has been a long time since I found myself laughing out loud with a tv comedy. Well, I did it tonight big time. Just the right show at the right time with the right cast. Very well done. I'm 56 and appreciated every minute of it.

Lose the laugh track, it says a lot about the producer's faith in his/her audience to get it.

SHOW HAS POSSIBILITIES, BUT THE PHONEY LAUGHTER DRAGS IT DOWN!! Distracting. Out of place in outdoor scenes and on racketball court. We don't understand need for 'boxed' laughter.

Thank you for realizing that you can have a show focused on TV legends who have put their years in. I've been waiting for a show like this since George and Leo was cancelled.

I just surfed onto your program and think it is terrific EXCEPT you need to ditch the canned laughter. The script can carry itself and the laughter is, at times, quite inappropriate.

When they were running into the water at the end I def. thought there was some chemistry between the actors. I'd change the theme song, it's a little lame. I'll watch the show again.

Two older men making raunchy sexual comments. Add a smartass kid and you will be assured a TV flop. Take a look at Seinfeld or Andy Griffith for tips on writing good comedy.
